Another Adventure...

Last November, I started interviewing for 2023 summer seasonal jobs. I had an interview and offer to work at an AirBnB but decided I didn't want to clean 8 bathrooms and bedrooms each day. Then I interviewed with Aramark and was holding out for the Bryce Canyon position however they weren't hiring until February.
On a whim, I texted my boss from Flaming Gorge Resort and asked if he needed any good help for 2023. His response? " Yes, Do you know of any good help?" LOL Love working at this place for the family-owned resort, and even my boss. So I told them I would be back in 2023. Since that call, we decided I should be there 3/27. And off I start last week, heading toward Dutch John, Utah.
Of course, they have inches and inches of packed snow and continue to get more, but I thought it would start melting before now. Not so. I guess it is a warning that I have now had RV issues meaning I will not be at work tomorrow. Instead, I am "parked" in Park, Kansas, where my RV tow hitch has broken loose (from rust) and cannot pull my pick-up until it is fixed. It is, of course, a weekend, and no welder is available until Monday morning. Luckily I have AAA and called them as my truck battery had died from the Patriot braking system pulling juice all day. At a rest stop, because of the snow storm that way blowing 25mph winds and snow along my route, AAA came to jump start the truck so I could put the key back into "accessory" position, needed to make sure the truck wheels turn and steering wheel stays unlocked. While there, we discovered my tow hitch, rusted, and because of the bump I had hit earlier in the day, broke loose - nearly all the way!
That would have been a disaster with the truck not being secure. Even with the chain locks, it still could have done a lot of damage, or broken loose in the windy weather causing harm to others. Angels had me in that rest area just in time to avoid any major accidents.
But it is the weekend and no welders are available until tomorrow. So I park. In Park, Kansas. At a delightful small RV parking area just off I-70. It is still windy here, but no snow today.
Please keep your fingers crossed and keep sending those angels. There is always a reason for everything that happens along this Life Journey, even if I can't see it at the moment.
Love and blessings to all who chose to read this and travel along with me!
