Too hot to hike. Too hot to do anything outside after 11am, actually.
So before 11, I went to the rec hall and had a free breakfast. This cute little park provides Saturday breakfast to thank all the tenants! What a grand business idea!!
Then ventured to Home Depot for a GFCI outlet - anyone want to come to TX to install for this "girl"? Electrical outlets scare the begeebies out of me. If you don't know, as a kid we had an electrical fire that burned up the 2nd floor of our home. So now I "freeze" (one of the 4 trauma responses) whenever I try to do anything with electrical connections. My brother, however, is unfazed... but he is in Houston and I am in Bastrop!
Here are a few pics of downtown Bastrop. Quite disappointing, really. If you are in to quaint little river towns, I suggest Golden, Colorado. Bastrop just didn't do anything to ignite my spirit.
Found an Insta-grill at Home Depot and dined on steak and red wine this evening. Hoping to sleep past 5am (will be the first time in 2 weeks if I can accomplish).
Definitely a need for darkening curtains in the SueCanDo bedroom. The day/night shades do NOT block out neighbors porch lights.
Blessed to be on the road! Wish it wasn't 100 degrees out there - I wanted to go hiking in Bastrop State Park! Oh well... back to the internet for entertainment. Until I fix the GFCI outlet, no TV (which is not a bad thing since I don't have cable) LOLLOL Life on the road!
